The Luxan Penetrator was designed to circumvent local governmental restrictions against citizens carrying military weapons. While technically a sporting blaster, the Penetrator's beam was focused with a double-nested set of galven circuits, letting it match the stopping power of a standard blaster pistol. As a side effect, this rendered it slightly less accurate than other typical sporting blaster pistols. The Penetrator's stun attack was also less potent than that of many comparable weapons.
