"Our universe is truly amazing. That book makes that even more apparent."
―Extract from the guide's introduction[src]

An annotated field guide was written by the famous zoologist Lyrre T'enna, with the contribution of the Intergalactic Zoological Society, and published during the height of the New Republic. It contained information on the physiology, diet and habitats of several wild non-sentient creatures. The guide covered the wildlife of nine planets and moons, namely Tatooine, Hoth, Dagobah, Naboo, Bespin, Endor, Yavin 4, Coruscant and Alderaan.[1]

Like the original field journals from which it was derived, the guide was richly illustrated in pen and ink, with annotations in the margins. All the colored renderings of the book were drawn by T'enna herself on the fly, during on-site observation.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

T'enna's guide is the in-universe equivalent to the real-world book The Wildlife of Star Wars: A Field Guide, which was written by Terryl Whitlatch and Bob Carrau and published by Chronicle Books in 2001.
