The MC80 evacuation cruiser was a modified version of the MC80 Star Cruiser that was designed for carrying civilians during a mass evacuation.

Characteristics

Each evacuation cruiser was capable of carrying 75,000 people. All the weapons systems and shield generators were removed, making room for added life-support systems. The hyperdrives on these vessels were also reduced, allowing the cruisers to only make a few short jumps.

History

The vessels were put to use during the First Battle of Mon Calamari, when an Imperial attack spearheaded by the fearsome World Devastators was launched.
