The Longvision LV-38 spotter/probe droid was a probe droid in service of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. They acted as the eyes of Mobile Proton Torpedo Launcher-2a artillery tubes.

CharacteristicsEdit

The LV-38 droid was equipped with advanced stealth programming, repulsorlift system and a burst-stream communication transceivers.^[1] Each Mobile Proton Torpedo launcher had two hatches on each side that dispensed these droids. They could traverse across the battlefield at high speeds and transmit coordinates to the artillery tubes, allowing for devastating long-range attacks.

Their weakness, however, was the fact that the spotter droids had extremely weak shields and no armament.^[1]
