The Mountain Terrain Scout Transport (MT-ST) was a six-limbed Imperial walker used during campaigns that involved cliffs and other mountainous terrain.
[edit] Characteristics
Developed and tested on Carida by the Caridan Test Grounds, the MT-ST was 7.2 meters long and resembled a large insect, thus earning its nickname "bug walker". Though meant to be used in mountain-areas, the MT-ST could reach speeds of up to one hundred kilometers per hour on flat, open terrain. It had enough room for one pilot, a minimal cargo-space and came with a fire-linked, twin blaster cannon turret for offensive purposes.
For rapid delivery to the battlefield, MT-STs would be deployed by pods, similar to the deployment of Arakyd Chameleon and Viper droids.
