Mahara Kesh
Mahara Kesh, or the Temple of Healing was one of nine temples of the Je'daii Order located on the verdant world of Tython. A blue crystal-like structure which sat atop a large, stone base, the Temple at Mahara Kesh served as the Order's academy for the art of healing, with and without the use of the Force.
History
Edit
When the philosophers and scholars from across the galaxy first arrived on Tython, they were brought forth from the stars on giant pyramidal constructs called the Tho Yor. These nine massive ships scattered across the planet and landed in separate locations, releasing those held within to settle the planet. The Tho Yor themselves would serve as the very foundations for these travelers' new homes and places of study.[1]
One of these Tho Yor came to settle deep within the Deep Ocean, anchoring itself to the ocean floor far beneath the waves. Above the tide was a heavy stone pedestal which served as the foundation for the Temple; a squat aquamarine building consisting of a single central tower surrounded by eight blue-glass minarets, two on each of its four sides. The philosophers who occupied the temple called themselves members of the Je'daii Order and sought to understand the nature of the Force through applications of healing techniques on the body. The serene location added to the beauty of the temple; though the hazards of the Despot War in 25,805 BBY forced the Je'daii to erect laser cannons to the outer structure.[1]
The Je'daii Temple Master, the Je'daii who served as steward of the facility and oversaw its functions, would see to the tutoring of all students and ensured the correct application of healing techniques on living beings. In 25,793 BBY the temple was overseen jointly by the mated Selkath Je'daii, Masters Naro and Calleh.[1]
