Mailocs were flying predators found on a variety of planets, including Sulon, Endor, Ruusan, and Dromund Kaas. About the size of skettos, and with somewhat reptilian heads, mailocs were constantly airborn, lacking legs, and also possessed very large, two-pronged stingers—that could penetrate most armor and personal shields—at the ends of their tails. Mailocs often appeared in swarms and attacked by swooping down on their prey, biting with their small jaws and stinging with their tails. They emitted a high-pitched shriek when excited.

Behind the scenesEdit

Many user-made levels for the Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, and Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith games have referred to Mailocs as Mynocks, which are completely different creatures. However, the model name for the Mailoc in the games' files, is "mynock.3do". This may have just been a confusion or a method of sorting.
