The Main Temple Garage was located on the top floor of the Jedi Temple, surrounding the base of the Reconciliation Council Tower that contained small space craft used exclusively by the Jedi Order. Smaller garages around the other three spires were converted to hold LAATs for the Clone Wars. Vehicles stored here for repair could be transported into a transit room in the Council spire where it could be raised up into the tower hangars.
Because the main garage was strictly large craft, other smaller hangars existed to maintain ground vehicles and other surface utilities. Elevators existed to raise speeders and other vehicles to the upper most level where Jedi could travel about Coruscant.
After the Temple fell in 19 BBY, the hangars were left empty until their destruction decades later. When Luke Skywalker ordered the reconstruction of the Temple, they once more served as the main rooftop garage.
