The Makatak tribe was a tribe of enlightened Rakata that lived on Makatak, a planet of the Rakatan Archipelago. The Makatak tribe, along with the Tulpaa tribe, were the two most advanced tribes of Rakata following the collapse of the Infinite Empire, and they competed against each other for resources and technology. They were also one of two Rakatan tribes to rediscover space flight and begin construction on small space stations similar to the Star Forge.
