Makem Te was the dry homeworld of the Swokes Swokes species, on the Perlemian Trade Route. In 42 BBY, the Galactic Republic stopped a bloody civil war on the planet; young Anakin Skywalker met a veteran pilot of the battle in 32 BBY. The planet was represented in the Galactic Senate by Yeb Yeb Adem'thorn until it seceded from the Republic during the Clone Wars and joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The planet long remained loyal to the Imperial Remnant and was injured, but not devastated, by the Yuuzhan Vong.
