Malanose was a world within the Gree Enclave, on the Outer Rim of the galaxy, which served as the primary world containing the Crafter and Researcher castes of the Gree civilization.

Long ago, during the days when the Gree society was at its height, Malanose was covered with cities that would produce new devices and technologies. As their society suffered in the decline, the remaining structures were raided for any remaining artifacts, and transported to other planets in the Gree Enclave. Only the largest of relics were left behind in the abandoned cities, which include the Totth'k Lotos.

The average day on Malanose was 18 standard hours, with 320 local days encompassing a year.
