Maloc was a commander in the Imperial Starfleet serving as commanding officer of the Victory I-class Star Destroyer Stalwart approximately one year before the Battle of Endor. He served under the command of then–Vice Admiral Thrawn throughout the construction of the space station NL-1 in the Pakuuni system, as well as throughout the campaign against the Pakuuni Pirates.
