During a siege, he allowed his squadron to be cut off from its supply lines by Alliance soldiers hidden in the Hitak Mountains. Then he ordered his squadron to stand and fight, further compounding his bad decision.
The Alliance soldiers quickly reduced the 112th down to three tanks, but the Hammers´ never-say-die attitude kept them in battle long enough for TIE fighter reinforcements to arrive and bombard the Alliance's landing field.
