"In fact, calculations suggest only two options: here at Gromas, in the Perkell sector, or here, at Phindar, in the Mandalore sector."
Moff Wilhuff Tarkin attempts to predict where the Carrion Spike will refuel[src]

The Mandalore sector,[1] also referred to as Mandalorian Space,[16] was a sector located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories[1] that contained nearly a thousand worlds that were neutral and not part of the Galactic Republic.[2] Several star systems including the Concord Dawn,[2] Mandalore[1] and Phindar systems were located in the Mandalore sector.[3]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Mandalore sector was first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a 1993 Star Wars Legends supplement written by Simon Smith and Eric S. Trautmann for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[17] It became canon when it appeared in "The Mandalore Plot," the twelfth episode of the canon animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars' second season.[4] It was first canonically identified by name in Tarkin, a novel written by James Luceno[3] that was released on November 4, 2014.[18]
