"Remember that some of the greatest Mandalores were born or grew up far from our homeworld. [...] Mandalore the Hammerborn grew up in the alleys of Kol Atorn, learning accented Mando'a from the emigrants and exiles who had settled there."
Tor Vizsla[1]

Mandalore the Hammerborn was a Mandalorian warrior who claimed the title of Mand'alor,[1] the traditional leader of the Mandalorian clans,[2] at a point in time during the Mandalorians' long history. Growing up in the alleys of Kol Atorn, Mandalore the Hammerborn learned to speak Mando'a[1]—the Mandalorian language[2]—from the Mandalorian exiles and emigrants who had settled there, eventually developing the local accent. Mandalore the Hammerborn was remembered by Mandalorians as one of the culture's greatest leaders.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Mandalore the Hammerborn was first introduced to Star Wars canon in the bounty hunter reference book The Bounty Hunter Code: From the Files of Boba Fett. Co-authored by Daniel Wallace, Jason Fry, and Ryder Windham, the book was released October 15, 2013.
