The Mandalorian chamber was a customization for certain blaster weapons that broadened the energy beam, resulting in an increase in damage. The Mark I, II, & III chambers in turn allowed for considerable boosts in the potential for injury from the plasma energy, as well as a degree of disorientation in the target.
