Map reader is a generic term for any device that projects holograms of maps. The Jedi used map readers in the Jedi Temple to display star maps.

Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Bear Clan, and Yoda used a map reader when discussing the disappearance of Kamino from the Jedi Archives.
