Maramus were herbivorous creatures on the forest moon of Endor that walked upright on powerful hindlegs. Their means of travel was characterized by hopping and jumping, and their forearms seemed to serve little purpose in their movement, though it may have been a means of stabilization. Maramus could be easily spotted by their prominent horns that jutted out from the sides of their heads as well as a ring of gray hair which surrounded their necks. It is unknown how maramus were used by the Ewoks of the forest moon, but the Duloks and the carnivorous Raich used the Maramu as a source of food.
