Mark Eades was media producer for the original Star Tours ride at Disneyland. According to interviews and writing by Eades, he came up with the idea to cast comedian Paul Reubens for the role of RX-24, the ride's droid pilot, after hearing Reubens as the voice of a robot spaceship in the Disney film Flight of the Navigator.[1]
