The Mark I bulk transport was a product of Sienar Ships. It had 2 decks and, while unshielded, the ship did have a dorsal laser cannon turret. Still, pirates considered the ship an easy target.

As of the Battle of Yavin, production of the Mark I had ceased, but the ship was still used, especially in the Core Worlds. The Cygnante was a heavily modified Mark I used by The Shield.
