Marlo was an elder Hutt and a member of the Hutt Grand Council during the Clone Wars.
Biography
Marlo was born on the Hutt homeworld of Nal Hutta. Later in life, Marlo became the head of his kajidic, which earned him a position on the Hutt Grand Council.
Around 21 BBY,[1] he discussed the plans to release Ziro from Republic custody with other Hutt council members including Jabba Desilijic Tiure, Gorga Desilijic Aarrpo, Oruba and Arok, because Ziro had potentially damaging information about Hutt activities.
A year later, Darth Maul, Savage Opress, and Pre Vizsla came to the Hutt Grand Council chambers and demanded that the Hutt families join them, or die. The council refused and summoned their bounty hunters. After Maul and his companions fled from the chamber, Marlo and the other Hutts escaped, but left Oruba behind, leading to his death.
Personality and traits
Like most Hutts, Marlo did not have hair. He actually wore a Sha'rellian toop, a small creature that lived on his head, giving him the appearance of having hair. He also had markings on his upper lips that gave the appearance of a thin mustache.
Behind the scenes
Marlo is voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson. Marlo is named for actor Marlon Brando, while the Hutt's appearance is based on Brando's portrayal of Don Vito Corleone in the mobster film, The Godfather.[source?]
