Matrix armor was a type of material and a specific armored suit.

HistoryEdit

The material was used in the construction of starship hulls^[1] and could be made into a heavy armored suit, which was stronger than durasteel and titanium. As such, it offered a high degree of protection, which could be improved by the use of various upgrades. Though few military engineers would call matrix armor a pretty design, it was effective. With the matrix armor plating in patterns similar to those used by fiber and mesh armor, the wearer of a suit of matrix armor could turn aside energy-weapon attacks that would otherwise be devastating.
