A matter transmitter was a device that transmitted matter over some distance.

HistoryEdit

The object was placed in or through an entry device and was beamed to a corresponding exit device somewhere else. The transfer was instantaneous and a subject could walk through the device and have one half at the entry and the other at the exit point, though an exit device was not necessarily required.

Matter transmitters were extremely rare and never made their way into wide stream use. The most famous matter transmitter was Magwit's mystifying hoop.
