Mawin was a Cerean female who is the fourth wife of Ki-Adi-Mundi and the mother of Ki's daughter Sylvn. Even though the Jedi Code forbade emotional attachments, the low Cerean birthrate granted an exception. Ki was allowed not only to marry, but to keep the Cerean custom of polygamy as well.

In 21 BBY, Mawin was perished during the Battle of Cerea between the Grand Army of the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
