Maxim was a senator of the Galactic Republic. He caused a minor scandal around 33 BBY, resulting in charges of corruption to be made against him. Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum promised to intervene; it is not known whether he ever did, seeing as, for Valorum, the following months were occupied with several more pressing matters.
