"May the Force of others be with you" was a phrase used to wish luck or good will, generally when individuals parted ways or the object of the expression was facing some sort of imminent challenge.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The phrase appears in The Star Wars, a comic adaptation written by Jonathan W. Rinzler of George Lucas' 1974 rough draft of Star Wars.[1] The phrase was incorporated into the 2016 canon film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, where it is used by the Guardians of the Whills, Chirrut Îmwe.[2]
