Mech Factories were construction facilities used to build mechanized combat units for various factions throughout the galactic history. They were produced by droid or organic workers such as Glurrgs or Wookiees at a cost of 180 units of carbon and 25 units of ore. These buildings typically produced scouting units such as speeder bikes, strike units such as Rebel combat speeders, destroyer units like Armored Assault Tanks, and assault units like All Terrain Armored Transports. The military units were also upgraded at these locations. The Gungans, Royal Naboo Security Forces, Trade Federation, Galactic Republic, Confederacy of Independent Systems, Galactic Empire, and the Rebel Alliance all used their own version of Mech Factories.
