Use the form below to upload new files. For more advanced users, click here to use the basic upload form.

All uploads must comply with Wookieepedia's image use policy.

Note: Your file will be deleted unless you provide the following information about your upload:

  1. The source of the file:
    • This means the specific name (and preferably page number or time code) of the medium or the web address where the image was found.
    • Wookieepedia does not allow non-canon images to be used in the main namespace.
  2. An image copyright tag, selected from the drop-down list below.
  3. A thorough description of the content.


Do not upload content with false descriptions, sources, or copyright tags. The image will be deleted and you will be blocked.
Unused images are deleted weekly. For free image hosting, try ImageShack, PhotoBucket, or a similar provider. Abuse of Wookieepedia's upload function for personal use will result in a temporary or permanent block per our blocking policy.

Before uploading images for your personal page, refer to the user image policy.
Please remember that your user page is not your primary contribution to this wiki, and Wookieepedia is not a free host or webpage provider.

Fill the form fields below with the correct information to properly source your image:

  • The "attention" field will generally not be used on a new upload, except for {{Notorphan}}.
  • The "description" field should be used for an accurate description of the file's contents.
  • The "source" field should list the specific source that the item comes from. Page numbers are optional but encouraged. If the source is a website, the specific URL is mandatory. GOOGLE IS NOT A SOURCE.
  • "Author" is an optional field for author/artist information.
  • "Filespecs" should be used to list specific information about any editing or processing the file has undergone -- this is critical for any image which has been modified from the original source. Do not list basic information like file size or dimensions, as the system will display these automatically.
  • "Licensing" is an absolutely non-optional field which must be used to indicate the license, and "GFDL" or "public domain" licenses must not be used for anything copyrighted by Lucasfilm or an affiliate.
  • "Other versions" should be used to indicate when alternate but non-duplicate versions or formats of a file are available.
  • The "cat" fields are for image categories. Do not use these fields unless you are certain of how the image categorization system works.

If you just skipped past everything above to get to the part where you upload the file, your upload will probably be deleted!

GOOGLE IS NOT A VALID SOURCE. UPLOADS THAT SAY "GOOGLE" ANYWHERE IN THE DESCRIPTION WILL BE DELETED AND THE UPLOADER WILL BE BLOCKED.
