The Medical Corps (or MedCorps) was a branch of the Jedi Service Corps staffed by young Jedi learners as well as former younglings who were not chosen as Padawans, and tended to the infirm and sick beings of the galaxy. It was overseen by the Circle of Jedi Healers. The MedCorps were responsible for operating the infirmary within the Jedi Temple.
Underlying this humanitarian goal was the idea that the Force-sensitive non-Jedi needed to understand the fragile nature of living beings, and that the will of the Force was the guiding principle in the life and death of all beings. Unlike the AgriCorps, the MedCorps maintained only a few dozen students and their instructors at any given time.
After the execution of Order 66, the MedCorps was dissolved and all its members were executed, or went into hiding.
