Medx Homunculi

The Medx homunculi was an unsettling little creature, looking uncannily like a bony Human scaled down to thirty centimeters in height.
They inhabited the wispy treetops of Gravlex Med and—while not sentient—were quite clever for animals. The striking resemblance between these chittering creatures and the species that ruled the Galactic Republic was a private joke among the Anx.

The historical term "homunculus" is Latin for 'little Human' and was often used to describe a tiny, artificial Human made through a process of alchemy.
