Membrosia was a type of alcoholic beverage made by the Killik membrosia givers. Gold membrosia was especially favored by insectoid races. The Gorog formed their own version called black membrosia, which was much more powerful and more addictive. After a year of black market sales, it had ruined the economy of the Roche asteroids. Galactic Alliance Defense Force Supreme Commander Sien Sovv was killed when a pilot drunk on black membrosia crashed into his starship. Joiner Vector Hyllus once bestowed a gift of white membrosia to a fellow Imperial operative.
Membrosia was available at the Soft Heart Cantina prior to the Battle of Yavin through unknown means.
