Captain "Ace" Merrick was a rotund Human male pilot who tried to live his life until he joined the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. He believed life should be entertaining and could think of no more enjoyable place to be than engaged in combat with the Empire.
As the Rascal Squadron leader, he led Rookie One and his cousin Ina Rece against the mining facility in the Belt of Arah, but was destroyed soon after by a Phantom TIE.

Ace was played by Roy Conrad. He is not to be confused with pilot Merrick Simms from the original Star Wars: Rebel Assault.
