Messo was an aide to the Republic Senator and a spy for the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
After he failed to deliver a data chip with key Republic strategies to Asajj Ventress because of the intervention of clone troopers led by Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi, he travelled to the planet of Mon Gazza, where he delivered the chip to another CIS agent, Maxus. Shortly afterwards he was tracked by Anakin Skywalker and met an unfortunate accident with a podracer, which killed him instantly.
