The Metternich was an Imperial EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate. Metternich along with the frigate Juvaini attacked the MC80 Star Cruiser Maria while she was receiving B-wing starfighters during the Galactic Civil War.

Metternich shares its name with the famous historical Austrian diplomat Klemens Wenzel von Metternich.
