Mia Ikova was the elected leader of Kattada. She was also a Rebel Alliance sympathizer.

Three weeks before the Battle of Yavin Ikova welcomed Princess Leia Organa during her stay at Kattada. While the princess searched refuge she was found by stormtroopers and captured alongside Mia Ikova.
She was shot by Commander Karg and his stormtroopers and died in Leia's starship. Before passing away she reminded a crying Leia of her mission to help free the galaxy and that Leia was not guilty for Ikova's death.
