Michael Kaminski is the author of the unofficial The Secret History of Star Wars, which he first published on his website in 2007 before it was published in paperback form the following year by Legacy Books Press. Prior to this, he worked in the film industry as a cameraman and was a member of the Cinematographer's Guild, based in Toronto. He left the industry in 2008 to pursue studies at the University of Toronto.

He posts on TheForce.Net's Jedi Council Forums under the username zombie.
