Mihalik was a male Svivreni miner working in the mines of Af'El during the first days of the New Republic.

After having helped Colonel Caleb Hctaqsas, Hctaqsas gave him an Epoch-class freighter known as Resolve.

Thieves led by Rani Quanic attacked the Qua'Tahc mines in Af'El to steal the available meleenium. Quanic and her minions injured several agents of the New Republic. Mihalik swore to chase Quanic, and he immediately left Af'El in the Resolve.
