The Military Research and Development Division was the arms branch of the Adasca BioMechanical Corporation of Arkania. It was newly opened in 3,963 BBY, in the wake of the Great Sith War. It provided battle droid musculature to the Galactic Republic, a service that provided Adascorp with over half of its military revenue.
