Mina Bonteri's husband was a male Human, who was married to Mina Bonteri during the waning years of the Galactic Republic. Together they had a son, Lux Bonteri. When the Clone Wars began, the Bonteri family joined countless beings who sided with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and Bonteri's wife in fact greatly respected the Separatist leader, Count Dooku.

Bonteri was sent to the planet Aargonar to set up a base for the Confederacy. Soon, however, clone troopers attacked his base, and he was forced to fight back in self defense. He was killed by the Republic forces, and his death only further resolved his family's belief in the good of the Confederacy.^[1]
