Minch fought and killed a Dark Jedi in a cave on Dagobah. He was of the same species as the famous Jedi Masters Vandar Tokare, Yoda and Yaddle.

Minch was found in some of the original drafts of The Empire Strikes Back as Yoda's first name. Minch is similar to the German word Mensch, which means human. Also, in Yiddish, mensch is often used to refer to someone that is a good person.
The Dark Horse Comics website has stated that this character is Yoda, but he is only referred to as Minch in the story. Leland Chee, when asked about the canonicity of Heart of Darkness, stated that "Yoda never went to Dagobah prior to ROTS... [a]nd Minch is not part of Yoda's name." Consequently, The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia treated Minch as a unique character, at the same time canonizing his existence.
