This individual was responsible for the adequate supply and maintenance of Rebel factories and production facilities, as well as the drafting and securing of contracts with third parties looking to aid the Rebellion. The task was difficult, given the lack of manufacturing facilities other than a handful on safe worlds and worlds openly affiliated with the Rebellion. Most equipment was either produced in smaller cottage-industries on Rebel-friendly territory, bought on the black market or stolen from the Galactic Empire.^[1] Such companies included BlasTech, Koensayr Manufacturing, Corellian Engineering Corporation, Corellia StarDrive, and inumerable re-sale oriented businesses selling otherwise unavailable products as middle-men.^[source?]
