Miraj Scintel was the Zygerrian queen, a ruler of the planet Zygerria and a member of the Separatist Council.

During the Clone Wars, Miraj was planning to sell the people of Kiros at an auction in order to gain allegiance with Count Dooku and the Separatists. Having appropriated a slave ship and an invitation to the auction from a Zygerrian slaver, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano and clone trooper Captain Rex inflitrated the auction, with Anakin posing as a slave trader named Lars Quell whilst the others went looking for the Togrutan colonists. Anakin quickly attracted Miraj's personal interest with his boldness and rather disrespectful behavior towards her, and with his rescuing her from the assassination attempt by a young slave girl.
Later, at the slave auction, the group's cover was blown and a fight ensued. When Ahsoka, who had posed as Anakin's "merchandise", was taken down by a electro-shocker built into her leash and collar, Anakin raced to save her and capture Miraj. Though hit by several electro-whips, he kept advancing until overcome by the pain and a well-aimed blow by the Queen. Taken by Anakin's sense of loyalty, persistence and handsomeness, Miraj had Anakin taken to her chambers and made him her personal bodyguard, ensuring his loyalty by holding his companions hostage.
Anakin reluctantly conceded, but nevertheless continued hatching an escape plan. Finally, he managed to gain information about Obi-wan's and Rex's whereabouts and free Ahsoka, who had been kept in the palace. But, in the meantime, Miraj had resisted Count Dooku's orders to have the Jedi killed, instead planning to break them with the helplessness of their situation, so Dooku and Asajj Ventress came to Zygerria to persuade her face to face. When Miraj still refused to give in, Dooku Force-choked her, crushing her windpipe; Anakin arrived too late to rescue her.
As she lay in his lap, Anakin told her with some regret, "I never could become the man you see in me", to which she responded, "You already are ... you just don't know it yet", before dying in his arms.
