During the first few months of the Jedi Civil War, a mission was undertaken by a group of Mandalorian mercenaries, to destroy the Republic communications center on Iridonia. They were under orders from Sith agent Acaadi, who had infiltrated their group and convinced them to follow his leadership. Acaadi used the Mandalorians to attack the Republic communications center in order to destroy it in advance of a planned Sith attack on Iridonia.
