The mission to Bakkah was an excursion to Bakkah in search of a Sith amulet.

At some point during the Galactic Civil War, Darth Vader learned of an ancient Sith amulet that had surfaced on the planet Bakkah. Lord Vader sent a detachment of stormtroopers to secure the amulet, but the Imperial forces were attacked by Bakkah's native Sand People, who took the amulet for themselves.

Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 raced to Bakkah in an attempt to intercept the amulet before Vader could seize it. Luke arrived at the Sand People stronghold just as the second wave of Imperial forces arrived, led by Lord Vader himself. Luke managed to hold off the attacking stormtroopers and fight Vader to a stalemate, and escaped Bakkah with the Sith amulet.
