A mission took place in 22 BBY during the Clone Wars. It was an attempt by Generals Kenobi and Skywalker to recover a root from the Reeksa plant, which had been identified as a possible antidote to the deadly Blue Shadow Virus.
Prelude[]
When Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano learned that Separatist-allied Dr. Nuvo Vindi was planning on re-releasing the deadly Blue Shadow Virus, they led a raid on Dr. Vindi's laboratory on Naboo, in which Dr. Vindi was captured and his plan was stopped. However, his servant droid LEP-86C8 later managed to detonate a virus bomb, and the virus immediately started to spread through the lab. Ahsoka, Rex, and the clone troopers were infected with the virus, and later Padmé Amidala would be infected as well. To save their friends, Obi-Wan and Anakin immediately went to Iego following a lead for a possible antidote: the root of the Reeksa plant.
The mission[]
As Twilight neared Iego, the Jedi passed through a strange graveyard of ships. Landing on Cliffhold, Anakin and Obi-Wan were welcomed by strangely disfigured Separatist battle droids. Anakin hacked his way through a number of them before Obi-Wan brought to his attention that they weren't defending themselves. A boy appeared, introducing himself as Jaybo Hood, upset that months of work reprogramming the droids had gone to waste. Despite such, he led the two Jedi to the location of a nearby Reeksa, at the bottom of a cliff. As the Jedi descended the cliff, a Xandu swooped by, and Anakin grabbed it by the leg, with Obi-Wan hitching a ride as well. The two dropped down, accidentally touching the vines on the ground and disturbing the Reeksa. Anakin proceeded to dig up the root and escaped alive with Obi-Wan.
In their attempt to leave the planet, they were attacked by "Drol," the phantom god of Iego, which turned out to be a Separatist laser web installed to prevent Iego's inhabitants from leaving the planet. After learning from an Angel that Millius Prime could be a candidate for the field's generator, the two Jedi used Jaybo's Vulture droids to fly through the laser grid so they could confirm the generator's spot and destroy it. "Drol" was destroyed, and the Jedi left with the cure.
Aftermath[]
Anakin and Obi-Wan returned to Naboo in time, and they were able to save Ahsoka, Padmé, Rex and the clone troopers. The recovering patients were transported away in LAAT gunships, and were expected to make a full recovery.
