The Mission to Mandalore occurred when Zann Consortium forces, led by Tyber Zann, decided to kidnap the Supreme Strategist from above Mandalore in an act of piracy. Hiding in an asteroid field above the planet, the Consortium fighters destroyed the Mandalorian V-wings waiting there. Once the supreme strategist arrived in a Venator-class Star Destroyer, the Consortium vessels destroyed its escort and boarded the ship, capturing the strategist.
