Not much is known about the Mission to Norval II, other than the fact that it took place during the Clone Wars, with the objective of capturing Padmé Amidala.

A group of Mandalorian Protectors led by Alpha-Ø2, along with their BL series droid counterparts, were put in charge of the operation, but were set up by Palpatine and ambushed by Galactic Republic forces. All but three Mandalorians were killed.^[2]

Fenn Shysa, Tobbi Dala, and Mandalore Alpha-Ø2 were the only survivors of this encounter, although the destruction and loss of life left Alpha-Ø2 mentally destroyed. The mission was a failure.^[2]
