The Mission on Prefsbelt IV took place when the Rebel pilot Wedge Antilles, coordinated by General Madine, attempted to reclaim the Imperial shuttle Tydirium.

BackgroundEdit

Ace Azzameen managed to capture the shuttle at the Mission to Zhar previously from Outpost 327[3], but somehow the Galactic Empire managed to recapture the shuttle soon after, and have it immediately transferred to Prefsbelt IV.[4]

Crix Madine coordinated a new mission in order to correct the previous mistake.

MissionEdit

Rogue Squadron, led by Wedge Antilles, infiltrated the Imperial base on the planet and extracted the Tydirium. After evading the sensors, Wedge Antilles ended up stealing one of the TIE fighters in order to avoid tripping the alarms.

Despite this, however, the base nonetheless was put on lockdown, and the fighters were deployed. The rest of Rogue Squadron, however, emerged and flanked the incoming fighters, taking them by surprise, and allowing the Tydirium a safe extraction, although not before destroying the four turrets guarding the Tydirium.

AftermathEdit

"We have stolen a small Imperial shuttle. Disguised as a cargo ship, and using a secret Imperial code, a strike team will land on the moon and deactivate the shield generator."
General Crix Madine[src]

Alliance General Han Solo was able to use the Tydirium to infiltrate the Endor system along with his commandos, prompting the Battle of Endor.[5]

Behind the scenesEdit

There were 2 versions of the level in Rogue Leader; night and day, depending on the GameCube's clock. During the night, you pilot a Speeder and during the day, a Y-wing.

  • For the Night Mission, you had to evade the scanners under the dead of night in a Speeder.
  • The Day Mission required Rogue Squadron to disable the scanners with their Y-Wings's Ion Cannons.

In Rebel Strike, because of the co-op mission mode of Rogue Leader, both players have to board the Tydirium before the player can use it. The first player is relegated to the pilot cockpit, whereas the second player will use its aft gun to shake off the pursuing TIEs.
