- "She bundled these things and more together not in an old, dead rancor hide, but swaddled in the living fronds of giant ferns that grew beside the Misty Falls."
- ―Falta recounting her story to Bug
The Misty Falls were a group of waterfalls on the planet Dathomir. During the Republic Era, the Dathomirian witch Falta visited the Misty Falls. She used the giant ferns near the falls to bundle a group of items in a burial pod which would create her daughter Yenna, in a process contrary to the burial customs of the Nightsister clan.[1] Sometime between 20 BBY and 19 BBY,[2] Falta traveled to an inn on the planetoid Sídi where she recounted her excursion to the young girl known as "Bug."[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current Star Wars canon, the Misty Falls were mentioned in the 2020 short story "Bug," written by E. Anne Convery and published in The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark anthology.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Misty Falls first appeared in the 2003 Sony Online Entertainment video game, Star Wars Galaxies.[3]

Notes and references[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 "Bug" — The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark
- ↑ "Bug" is set during the Clone Wars and several months after the Battle of Dathomir. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the battle to 20 BBY, and the end of the Clone Wars to 19 BBY. Thus, the short story must take place between those two years.
