- "I hope you're feeling better, Master. Look what we found."
- ―Ahsoka Tano to Anakin Skywalker upon seeing the Separatist base.[src]
The Mobile Command Center was a type of base used by the Separatist as a temporary base. It was large enough to fit a C-9979 landing craft, a Sheathipede-class transport shuttle, three AATs, several B1 battle droids, B2 super battle droids and DSD1 dwarf spider droids and still have room for cargo storage. The base could be taken apart and fitted into a C-9979 landing craft, but it decreased the craft's cargo capacity enormously.
[edit] History
This base was first seen on Maridun where General Lok Durd used it as his main base from where he could test a new weapon for the Separatist Army known as a defoliator. The weapon could exterminate organic matter without harming mechanical objects. Little did he know that Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Aayla Secura, and the clones Bly and Rex were stranded on the planet and were looking for a ship. They managed to steal a shuttle from the base and they returned to a small Lurmen village to warn them about the Separatist weapon. Lok Durd attempted to destroy the Lurmen village with this weapon, but it was destroyed in the subsequent battle by Anakin Skywalker. He was then arrested by the Jedi along with his companion and the base was presummably abandoned.
On Ryloth the Separatists had also build a base of this type in the city of Nabat. On the towers there were B1 battle droids armed with double-barrel repeating blasters. Later, the base was under attack by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Commander Cody and Ghost Company, who destroyed the droids in the towers with droid poppers and blasters.
